    Alpha Course

ALPHA is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought provoking weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings and a Saturday away day.

Each evening starts with a meal followed by a short presentation on the Christian faith.  There is then discussion in small groups where everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts, beliefs and doubts!

For more information phone the Church Office or Tom Harflett (Alpha Coordinator).

  • House Groups   ( 0 Articles )

House GroupsHouse Groups are the way we learn about God's word together in an informal environment.  They work well, because unlike Sunday morning at Church, you can shout out if you disagree and unlike reading the Bible on our own, if something doesn't make sense, we can bounce ideas off each other.

All housegroups are a little different, but if you're not currently in a HouseGroup we really encourage you to join one.

If you'd like to find a group, please contact the Church Office.

  • The LIGHTHouse   ( 0 Articles )

LightHouse ChurchLighthouse is Trinity’s “Messy Church”, which takes place the third Monday of every month, 12 months a year at Trinity Hall between 3:00 – 5:00. It is open to families, particularly those with younger children aged up to ten years old (although we do have some older ones coming along who are, of course, more than welcome!)

Each month we take a different theme and many, but not all, of the activities in the hall will reflect this. From 3:00, families begin drifting in as they either arrive with children under school age at the very start, or come along a short while later having picked up slightly older ones from various schools around the area. Activities then include biscuit making, messy table, games, arty table, and more. After a time in the main hall we all go through to the church for about fifteen minutes for a time of singing, story and a prayer. Then it’s back to the hall to eat together!

Although there is no compulsory cost for the LightHouse, we do currently ask for a voluntary minimum donation to cover our costs.

Here are rough timings of a session:

3:00 Doors open. Arts, crafts and other activities. Drinks and biscuits are also available for both adults and children during this time.
    4:15 Into church
    4:30 Eat together
4:50 (or once people have finished eating) everyone help to tidy up their own bit of table, then generally a lot of running around
    5:00 Lighthouse finishes

If you have a family of the appropriate age and would love to come for fun, food, friendship & to learn a little about God in a safe, easy and relevant way, we would love to see you!

For more information about the group, please contact the Church Office

  • Prayer Ministry   ( 5 Articles )
Prayer Ministry @ HTFPrayer ministry at HTF is the foundation of all the other ministries, and is high on our list of priorities.
In the Old Testament there is a verse that states ‘where there is no vision the people perish.’ this can be applied to churches, where there is no vision for prayer there can be no spiritual growth.  At Holy Trinity our prayer ministry is varied & active.

We meet for a short time of prayer before each Sunday morning service, while after the service there are people in the Lady Chapel available to pray for individuals. There are monthly prayer meetings and a prayer chain that is well used for immediate prayer situations.  We have prayer triplets that meet on a regular basis. We arrange days at Quiet Gardens, days of fellowship & teaching and evening prayer pilgrimages around Wells Cathedral.  Every quarter we organise longer periods of prayer focusing on different situations & needs, with interactive, visual, varied & informative prayer stations, with areas for quiet meditation & the occasional guided meditation.
Felicity Hill & Ann Phillips lead this exciting ministry. They are also involved in running short courses on Listening, Healing Prayer, & How to lead congregational Intercession. They have a vision to set up a Listening Room in the parish to serve the local community & are trusting God for others to catch the ‘vision’.
Please do contact us if you want to speak to us about the prayer ministry or the Listening Room.

  • Trinity Lunches   ( 1 Article )

Trinity Lunches We serve a full cooked lunch every Tuesday between 12 and 1.30 in Trinity Hall. The cost is £3.50 and it’s open to anyone who wants to come (although it does tend to be the “retired” generation!).  While we are eating there is a short “thought for the day”.

The lunches team is made up of over 40 helpers – cooks, waitresses, washer uppers and table puter-uppers!!  For Christmas we do a “christmas lunch” with all the trimmings.
