The LIGHTHouse

LightHouse ChurchLighthouse is Trinity’s “Messy Church”, which takes place the third Monday of every month, 12 months a year at Trinity Hall between 3:00 – 5:00. It is open to families, particularly those with younger children aged up to ten years old (although we do have some older ones coming along who are, of course, more than welcome!)

Each month we take a different theme and many, but not all, of the activities in the hall will reflect this. From 3:00, families begin drifting in as they either arrive with children under school age at the very start, or come along a short while later having picked up slightly older ones from various schools around the area. Activities then include biscuit making, messy table, games, arty table, and more. After a time in the main hall we all go through to the church for about fifteen minutes for a time of singing, story and a prayer. Then it’s back to the hall to eat together!

Although there is no compulsory cost for the LightHouse, we do currently ask for a voluntary minimum donation to cover our costs.

Here are rough timings of a session:

3:00 Doors open. Arts, crafts and other activities. Drinks and biscuits are also available for both adults and children during this time.
4:15 Into church
4:30 Eat together
4:50 (or once people have finished eating) everyone help to tidy up their own bit of table, then generally a lot of running around
5:00 Lighthouse finishes

If you have a family of the appropriate age and would love to come for fun, food, friendship & to learn a little about God in a safe, easy and relevant way, we would love to see you!
