HTF Gift DayHoly Trinity, Frome is on an amazing adventure, and no one who knows this church could fail to be impressed by the sheer generosity of everyone who gives so generously of time, talents and also financially to make it all possible.  This is especially remarkable in a time of financial difficulty when so many jobs are in jeopardy, there is so much insecurity around, and countless calls on our giving.  Thanks be to God!  And also to you for all that you are already doing and giving to help make it possible.

Even with all this, and even though we have made some headway this year, we are still struggling to meet our housekeeping commitments.  Currently we are approximately £700 per month short!  That sounds like a lot, but when spread over our membership of just over 200 adults amounts to an average increase  (on current giving) of about £3.50 each per month , or £42 over the year.
How wonderful it would be if we could cover not only cover our basic housekeeping, but also perhaps to have sufficient to provide more resources for the many ministries of the church!  Hence our target of £10,000 – it sounds like a lot, but there are over 200 of us to do it, and together we can!

The Church Council will bring this all before the Lord in a special way on the first Sunday of June which has been designated as a Special Gift Day for the work of Holy Trinity, Frome.  Would you therefore prayerfully consider how you could play your part?  It might be a special financial gift (no matter how large or small), or a pledge to increase a standing order, or a fundraising activity that you might run yourself.

Whatever might or might not be possible for you financially, please do bring before our wonderful God the issue of our funding, and join with us in praising God for his faithfulness on Sunday 6 June 2010.   The church will be open all day for you to bring your gifts, and the focus of our  prayer meeting in the evening will be thanksgiving.

Can we raise £10K? Well, let’s come together on 6th June and see what we can do together with God.

Graham, the Churchwardens,  and all the Church Council
