Holy Trinity is honoured to be home to a secret hidden gem!
Down the old back streets of Frome in a church that was built (in 1837) to serve the local weavers and cloth workers we are lucky to have what is perhaps the most impressive collection of Burne-Jones/Morris Co stained glass in the south west. A set of nine stained glass windows by designed by the famous Pre Raphaelite artist, Edward Burne-Jones and manufactured in the workshops of William Morris between 1880 and 1903.
Here is a short gallery showing some of the beautiful details to be found in the windows.
The colours are even more lumunious in person, so do stop by for a visit should you be in the Frome area, (see our opening times and service pages for details). Guided tours are also conducted during the Frome Festival each year- details will be posted on our events page.
We have also produced a booklet outlining the history of the windows and also their recent cleaning/restoration by Holy Well Glass, this is available to to purchase for £5.00.
