Isaiah 40; John10:10

The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner

Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Falkland Islands patrols & “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” (Coleridge) ... Selfishness & ignorance lead to misery & imprisonment of the soul. But Isaiah shows us what it means to soar above all that holds us down. “The LORD ... gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”- from Isaiah‬ ‭40‬ ‭Jesus calls us to new life in freedom & peace with Him. He says: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”- John‬ ‭10:10‬You can trust Him 😊Lesley & Graham Graham’s next talk will be on Thursday 9th July as we have the blessing of some family time 😊Sunday 5th July online: 11am Communion 9pm Night Prayer (Compline)
