Matthew 6:31-34; John 8:12

So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6: 31-34

‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ John 8:12

The Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Wessex. An era of danger & insecurity. We too are in a time of stress & distress. Jesus spoke to crowds living through dangerous times: “‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ....For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”- Matthew‬ ‭6:25, 32-34‬ ‭Jesus said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”- John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭Look to Jesus today & there will be enough bread for the journey & light for the next step. “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.”- Psalm‬ ‭36:9‬ God bless you 😊Lesley & Graham Sunday 21st June online: 11am Communion 9pm Night Prayer
