HOLY TRINITY PARISH WEEKEND FOR ALL
AT BRUNEL MANOR, TORQUAY IN 2016
Last year over 80 members of the Holy Trinity family spent a wonderful weekend away at Brunel Manor on the outskirts of Torquay. It is a very well-equipped Christian Conference Centre and the food, both material and spiritual, was wonderful! Now another weekend has been booked for the weekend of
Friday 30 September to Sunday 2nd October 2016.
It may seem a long way off, but time will fly by and diaries will soon get filled with holidays and other commitments. So make sure you book your place soon.
We are delighted to have arranged for the Rt Revd Bob Evens to be our speaker next year. Bob is an expert at leading parish weekends. He was Archdeacon of Bath and then Bishop of Crediton. We cannot recommend him more highly.
Brunel Manor is a large old manor house with stunning views, comfortable lounges and a large Conference room (with a loop system). There is also an all-weather tennis court, garden trails and, for children, an Adventure Play area, as well as a games room. Most of the bedrooms are en suite and there are a number of single bedrooms as well as some large family rooms. Rooms are also available for those with physical disabilities. The food is delicious and Brunel Manor caters for vegetarians and those with special dietary needs.
During the weekend there will be a healthy balance between fun, fellowship and an opportunity to explore faith in a deeper way, whether as adults or young people. There will be times of worship, time to talk and pray, and time just to be! Children will have their own activities and teaching times.
The cost of the weekend for full board will be
£132 per adult.
Children 0-5 will be free,
those between 6-12 will be only £33 and
young people aged 13-17 will be £66.
Last year we were able to take 12 church members who would not have been able to come were it not for the generosity of other church members giving a little extra themselves. It would be good to be able to do the same again.
Booking forms will be on the table at the back of Oakfield School on Sundays and are also available from us by email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any questions about the weekend please ask Chris and Miriam Hare (tel: 469788)
