Frome Food Bank
Written by David Wakefiled

We are setting up a food bank for Frome together with Wesley Methodist Church and as a branch of the Warminster Food Bank. We are calling it Frome Central Food Bank to avoid confusion with the organisation at the Key Centre on the Mount. The idea of a food bank is to supply packs of provisions for needy people as a last resort when other agencies are unable to meet their immediate needs. The packs provide food for three days and come in two forms, one for a family with two children and one for a single person and contain suggestions for using the pack.

How will it work? Packs will be available at Wesley Methodist Church and our own Bridge Café, to be given out only when a voucher is presented.

CVM exists to serve the local church to engage with men in every village, town and city in this country.    codelife is a national movement based around "The Code”.  A rule of life for men that helps them to stay gripped and focussed on living a full on, uncompromised Jesus centred life, in company with others. Men are reporting this to be life changing!

Trinity Church - Eco-Church?
Written by John Samways
Are environmental issues important to the local church? Yes, I believe they are and I am delighted the PCC are seriously considering how Trinity Church can play its part in the parish/Deanery in pursuing this matter.

Why should we bother with such matters in the church?

Well, not least because the environment offers a wonderful platform for mission – don't forget Brunner's wonderful comment: 'A church without mission is like a fire without burning!' When it comes to getting people thinking about God, a vital first step to engage in mission, two things do it more effectively than anything else:
Being captured by a sense of awe and wonder
Awareness of impending disaster – globally/personally.
