HTF Podcast

Welcome to Holy Trinity Church, Frome

HTF Church building is in Trinity Street, with the Church Hall just beside it.  We're open weekday mornings between 09:30 - 12:30 if you ever just want peace & quiet, but the Church is really a people, not just a building.  In fact, the people of Holy Trinity Church have been part of the local community for over 160 years now.  We are a family and we welcome you to join us.

We aim through the power of the Holy Spirit to:

- Grow closer to God as we worship, pray and read the Bible
- Be committed to each other in love & encourage and support one another
- Share our faith and invite others to follow Christ
- Be involved with our local community and offer prWheelChair Accessactical heResources for the Visually ImpairedlHearing Loop Installed in Main Churchp

Frome Festival @ HTF

Frome FestivalDuring the Frome Festival the church will be open in the mornings for people to come and view the Burne-Jones windows, and Trinity Hall is going to be used on most days to host a variety of Frome Festival events.  There will also be our own Flower Festival from the 5-7th.

Donations towards the cost of the flowers in memory of family or friends, or to show your interest and support for AROCHA, would be much appreciated for this festival.

Donations may be left with Brigit in the Church Office.

Help is needed to co-ordinate volunteers for the times that the church is open during the Frome Festival.  It does not mean you need to be here all the time - but if you can help organising a list of helpers to be here, serve tea and coffee etc, please see Brigit asap.

A damp Day of Action
80_Hope08.pngWell it was a wet and cold day, and the last weekend of the school holidays meant our numbers on Saturday 15th April for the litter pick (on Stonebridge and the Mount) were a little low - 30 in total. That said, the rubbish collected was considerable and our new ‘orange’ vests ensured we were easily recognizable!

One thing that was very noticeable from both DoA's though, was how interested the general public are in what we're doing, who we are and why we're doing it.  Isn't that an amazing opportunity for us?  Finding a way to talk to people about our Faith without triggering people's "Bible-basher" alarm bells can be really difficult, so it's quite a shock to have strangers voluntarily ask you about it!

Our Hope 08 efforts are now broadening:
- the Police Initiative (a tea/coffee van in the town centre on Friday/Saturday nights) starts on May 16/17th (note date change).  Anne Phillips needs volunteers for this and the following sessions:
- the Men’s Breakfast Neighbourhood Help Scheme has started - they have taken on the gardens we didn’t get to on the 15th due to rain
- and we have our theatre event from Rhema on 10th May 08.

Photos from the First HOPE DoA
80_Hope08.pngHere's a small collection of photos from the first HOPE "Day of Action"
Over 100 people came along from Churches all over Frome and the surrounding Villages to the first HOPE Day of Action, a mass litter sweep across the town and the reaction from the people we met along the way was really positive.

Hopefully we'll have two hundred ... three hundred next time...
